Have you ever worked so hard you just dropped to the floor? Well, that is what the Bootcamp class does every Friday! The boot camp class starts off with watching some exercise videos, then does a rotation of different exercises and they exercise with music. After exercises, they stretch, and at the end for all their hard work they get a refreshing, healthy smoothie shake.
Every class, their rotation is different. Here is an example of a rotation they have done:
- Flat ladder (walk through the step things)
- Pulling (they put part of the rope under their feet and pull)
- Jump roping
- Keeping steady (leaning against the wall)
- Hopping on and off boxes
- Push-ups
- Stretching (push scooter out and then pull back in)
The students in the class love it!!! Their absolute favorite part of the class are the push-ups. The tastiest part is the smoothie. They take this fun class in the gym. The students find this class useful to themselves and think that other kids will like it too! They also want to continue this class if Edgewood University is held again.
The teachers, Mrs. Mangiamele and Mrs. Pagel, are very happy to teach this fun class in exercising and keeping healthy. They also are very good at it too! One kid said, “This class has helped me to interact with people and exercise. It is really fun exercising with other people.”
