Do you like video games? Well, if you do, you might just like scratch programming. Scratch programing is a course held at Edgewood. In this course, the students bring their chromebooks and program their own games. The students then test their game. The teacher that is teaching Scratch Programing is Mr. Fitzpatrick. Scratch programing meets in room 9 which is Mrs. Leviatin our school band teacher’s classroom.

The students are really enjoying this course because they get to play and make different games. Some of these games are called Mazes, Ski games, and Obstacle courses. Mr Fitzpatrick is making his own game to help the students understand their club Mr. Fitzpatrick says that there are many games to make. Mr Fitzpatrick is making a snake game he has programed his game so if you hit the green wall then you have to restart from the beginning of the game. There also coins that you can get to program the coins you have to hit the green flag.

Kyle talks about his project

There is also a kids side. We interviewed a student named Kyle Gandhi and he said that he was making a maze and you control with the scratch mascot a cat and you have to use lead of a pencil to control to go up down right and left. You would have to try not to hit the walls or you’ed have to restart.

So that’s just some fun reasons that you might like to do some scratch programing. You might just get addicted like us that's how much fun we had, so we had to play some of their games maybe if you sign up you’ll get to make your own games.
