On February 25th Edgewood had a giant Lunar New Year celebration! It is the Year of the Goat.
First, we had a big parade at 9:15am. It included a dragon, a lion, all the zodiac animals, and LOTS of first graders making LOTS of noise. Watch the video below of the parade.
After that, classes came to the New Meeting Room to have a festival. They ate Chinese dumpling, watched presentations, played games, danced as dragons, and jumped on bubble wrap to make lots of noise like firecrackers.
We interviewed all of the organizers who started this festival. Find out what they said in the video below.
Check out the games and activities they have below. We caught several kids having a great time. If you win, you get candy!
Thank you to all of the volunteers and participants who organized and prepared this great experience for our school!
