Have you ever made a huge blanket that would be auctioned of at a fair? Mrs. Fiorella, Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Tyrell are teaching a club that does exactly that and much more!
The kids in the knitting club get to knit small squares that get sewed together into a big blanket. This blanket then gets auctioned off at the Edgewood Fair. Also, the students get to learn how to do other skills like pearling. One student mentioned she enjoys this course because she likes to help others. Another student was really happy when she was accepted into this course because she enjoys knitting. All the students like their teachers because they are really caring!
Mrs. Fiorella chose to be one of the teachers in the knitting club because she loves to knit and work with children. She also knitted when she was a child! She said, her mother taught her how to knit when she was in elementary school. She still really loves to knit.
As you can see, many things are going on in the knitting course here at Edgewood. Check the raffle at the Edgewood Fair to see their amazing project!
