Mystery Reader

We love Mystery Reader!

We were all once a mystery reader in Mrs. O'Rourke's class, although all the other first grade teachers have Mystery Reader.

The Mystery Reader is someone who signs up and then, when the time comes, they go down to the first grade classroom. They wait outside until the first graders scream out the door, "OH, MYSTERY READER!!!!!" Then the mystery reader comes in.

The Mystery Reader will bring an assortment of books he or she loves. Then the class asks questions. When the class asks questions on reading books and what books the mystery reader loves, the mystery reader will show the books he or she brought. When they are done, they read a book with the class. Then one or two students from the class will give a tour of the room.

During Mystery Reader Mrs. O'Rourke sits in a chair and listens, and if the Mystery Reader needs help while reading the book Mrs. O'Rourke will help them.
